This will qualify the jumpers for the Sunday’s line-up. On Sunday, the highest cumulative score of that day’s two best jumps wins. The history of this event started in 1964 in Utah as a way to celebrate spring and local bragging rights. It literally means terrain jump using existing snow for the ramp. It also means using a fixed heel binding, not the kind of free bindings seen in the Olympics. Jumpers have been known to go over 200 feet. This will be a great spectator sports!TO ENTER, GO TO OUR WEBSITE IN THE EVENTS PAGE & FILL OUT OUR ENTRY FORM AND LIABILITY WAIVER.

1st Annual Video Festival

SLEEPING GIANT VIDEO FESTIVAL - (submissions by April 12; Awards/Screening at Big Horn Cinema April 30, 2010 For all you aspiring videographers out there, we are holding the first annual video contest and festival this winter. Create an action packed video showcasing the mountain, the skiers, and the snowboarders of Sleeping Giant. There are seven(7) different categories you can choose from and up to four (4) you can enter. Entry fee is $5 per category.
